I am a little confused. I am very interested in a UCLA film online course but I am not sure if it is available for high school students. Would anyone know about this?

Is this through UCLA Extension?

If it is, then yes.

I took about 8 online courses at UCLA through UCLA Extension during my high school years. It also is extremely helpful if you go to UCLA or other UC’s because a lot of the credits are transferrable.

This is a stupid question, but does it help with getting into a UC?

Honestly, I can’t give you a sure 100% answer.

I took 8 UCLA Online Extension courses throughout my high school years and I got into UCLA. My SAT score was PRETTY LOW. Although I did have tons of EC’s.

It does help though, I just don’t know how much. Taking these courses shows colleges that you went that extra mile to learn more and that you engaged yourself in further academics than the usual honor and AP courses.

I also do believe it counts into your GPA, but not 100% sure on that either.

UCLA Extension is not UCLA. It’s essentially CC-ish, open to all and without the UCLA “competition.”
