UCLA or Cornell for engineering?

Hey, I have a few questions....

recently I got accepted to both UCLA and Cornell.
Aside financial factors, which school do you think would give me a better education and job(in socal) after college?

Also, my parents want me to go to Cornell b/c they believe that I will have an easier time getting a better pay (even if it's a job in SOCAL) when I get a job. Is this true?

Please feel free to give other opinions aside from these questions. thanks!

How did you find out from Cornell already

bumppppppppppppppp

Yeah, I'm also curious how you found out from Cornell already since they haven't released RD engineering decisions...

They haven't released RD decisions, but I'm pretty sure they've done ED decisions already...

And UCLA released like last week, so it works out.

I'd say Cornell is better just because employers + other people know its so hard to graduate Cornell Engineering. So hard...

HiWei, but if he got in ED he is legally obligated to attend. He should never have figured out from UCLA. If Cornell were to figure out that an ED student didn't withdraw their other applications, it is very likely that Cornell would rescind his admission offer and, upon informing UCLA of this, he'd probably end up without admission to either school.

Cornell sent out some "likely" letters. Basically says that you're a strong candidate and don't pick a school until decisions are released. I didn't get one (engineering), but my friend did (probably CAS).

go to Cornell, it will be worth your time
