UCLA or USC? Help!

I've been thinking A LOT about this. I am most likely going to apply to these two universities (amng others), but these are my top two. I'd also like you guys to share your preferences WITHIN the campus, (also the external design) and stuff, not considering the neighbourhood of USC since everybody knows that their location isn't ideal.

I'd like to think of myself as very sporty (swim team captain in HS) and academically smart. (SAT 2000). I'M also completing the IB program, along with many extra curricular activities which would support the visual strength of my application. I'd also like to say that i acknowledged the difference in tuition fees between the two, which however, is no problem, meaning that 4 years of $64,000 would be okay (usc price). ALso, they both have my preferred Major which is Business and minor in English.

It'd be extremeley helpful to me if you could list unique points from each university which would help me make my decision easier - although - anything would really help really, just let me know! :)

Thanks.

UCLA does not have a business major, it has business economics. As they say on their website

I should have specified on that, business and economics is also okay.

You can’t go wrong with either school. You should try to gain an understanding of the differences between UCLA’s econ major vs. USC’s business school and see which you think is a better fit for you.

Keep in mind that it is very, very hard to be admitted to UCLA. USC is not a safety either. While I appreciate your question, it also seems to me that you are putting energy into a decision that may not be necessary.

I am glad you are applying to a variety of schools, and I am sure you will be admitted to a school that is a great fit. My suggestion would be to come back to the board when/if you have your admissions in hand.

In light of recent events, swimming at UCLA may be a more viable option than ever…

Fight on!
