UCLA Pre-med, better than Stanford?

Woah, I was looking at the Gourman report: <a href="http://www.guilford.k12.ct.us/%7Efaitschb/college.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.guilford.k12.ct.us/~faitschb/college.html</a></p>

And it really amazes me UCLA is higher than Stanford. Yes, I know it is age old. But, can someone care to explain to me how UCLA comes higher than Stanford in pre-med?

lol, I doubt the credibility of that report, whatever it is. It doesn't explain ranking methodology either.

Must be because of the Medical Center...

Stanford's got med center too. I think the ranking is horribly outdated as it was made in 1997. Obviously WUSTL would be a lot higher now on the premed and somehow I really doubt UCLA would be higher than Stanford.

there's only 1 rank difference. but i dont know what the methodology is. just a wild guess, but perhaps UCLA sends more people to medical schools overall, simply because there's way more ucla students going pre-med than stanford students?

ranking seems to hold grade deflation against schools ie Caltech/MIT ranks in every but premed and overall
