Hello,
I finally committed to UCLA and I received a provisional contract.
The terms were that:
1. I maintain a B average or equivalent in my board exams.
2. Two or more C's aren't allowed.
3. No D's and F's.

I am from Maharashtra HSC and the board denotes 45-59 % as 2nd class pass or B grade.
So does my contract mean that worst to worst case scenario, my percentage should be within the limits of 45-59?
For background, my percentage in 11th was 67.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

I think you should mail them and ask what would be an acceptable score for the Maharashtra HSC boards, from previous experience they’ll hopefully answer your question. If not, you both can reach an accommodating conclusion.

They said they aren’t allowed to answer “hypothetical situations”

Well, believe me or not, it’s good news for you, as long as you don’t fail or your scores are in the “fail” ballpark, you can just feed them anything saying that these are the state average. Schools rarely rescind offers, they don’t like to do it especially for their sticker price students! You’re a sticker price student, right?

Oh yeah. I’m totally sticker price. But I thought UCLA is notorious for rescinding students.

Don’t Worry, UCs are already under funded, they just can’t let afford to lose a student like you. They’re notorious for only one thing and that hot chicks, enjoy your time there ;-)
