UCLA,UCSD,Cal Poly SLO for EE majors???

What school has the best electrical engineering program??(UCLA, UCSD, or Cal Poly SLO)

How rigorous is it to transfer to these schools?

UCLA > UCSD

According to USNews though so take it with a grain of salt.

UCLA and UCSD are part of the UC system which tend to stress more theoretical knowledge (to prepare for graduate work?), whereas Cal Poly SLO is part of the CSU system which tend to stress more practical applications. I think the one thing that Cal Poly SLO has going for it is that each EE course is accompanied by a lab. How cool is that? You get hands on experience and Cal Poly SLO is no Devry, Heald, etc.

More students get rejected from UCLA than the other two so UCLA is probably the most selective.

Definitely UCLA has the best engineering program among the three here and certainly it is the hardest to get in UCLA among the three here too. UCSD is very strong in engineering too.

EE_stu, very well put, yep I agree with your points a lot there!
