UCLA Vs CMU

Hello for now I am interested in Computer Engineering. UCLA Vs. CMU which one to choose. I have not ruled out Bio-engineering yet. I am out of state for either of these colleges.

You haven’t said if you’ve been admitted or what the costs to you are. If you’ve not applied yet, then use the net price calculators to estimate what your costs are likely to be. come back to us with that info.

Money is not a criteria. I have applied and have been admitted to both. Have to make a decision before May. Thank you so much for your time.

CMU is a very nice campus (if you can abide yellow brick buildings). It’s in a very nice part of Pittsburgh, adjacent UPitt, with which it shares some resources. It is simply spectacular in CE. I saw the Gates building going up about 6 years ago and it promised to be a beauty. Tons of money pouring into the school from donors and corporations. You can’t go wrong with either of these campuses or schools, but CMU is a little better in this major.

CMU has better computer engineering program. UCLA is a lot more fun, I’d say, and has a strong program as well.
CMU likely is more widely recruited nationally for computer engineering.
