I got into both schools of engineering (bioengineering at UCLA). I am going to visit the two schools in the next few weeks. Would I be crazy to choose one over the other, or it is a matter of personal preference?

Also, does anyone know any significant differences between the two engineering schools (ie. competitiveness)?

both schools have a strong engineering program so it doesn't really matter which one you chose in that respect. it comes down to campus, state or residence (tuition), and a general feel for the campus.

btw if you're premed, ive heard Umich has really really good advising.

I got acceptance from both U Mich and UCLA...I'm choosing UCLA...weather people...just everything

plus

Michigan sent me a brochure and the pple in it were really ugly...I mean honestly THEYRE NOT EVEN TRYING TO GET THE GOOD LOOKING PEOPLE IN THERE!!!

...I kid I kid...but no really they were gross

HAAHAHA nice, Danoh. thanks for dissing my friends..they actually called me and were all excited to be on the cover of that brochure.

just kidding :p.

but to the OP, yeah id say visit the school and make a list of pros and cons.. talk it over with the fam and mabye friends if you know some at each school. also if youre instate at CA, remember youre paying double for a similar edu at michigan.
