I've been accepted to the University of Connecticut's regional campuses. I really want to go to Storrs, their main campus, and have sent an appeal letter. I understand that appeals are rare, but it would be nice to know what the decision is. On the UConn website, it states the decisions are revealed after May 1st. About how long after May 1st?
I have sent numerous emails (no responses so far) and people I spoke to over the phone have been very vague. I am in a rush only because I must withdraw my decision to attend another school I've already sent a deposit to. I understand deposits are nonrefundable but I'm willing to give up that money to go to Storrs.
Another question not really related to this issue; why were the acceptances to UConn so random this year? I know people who had far less activities, lower GPAs, lower SAT scores, silly essays, etc who have been accepted into UConn. Not to sound arrogant but I've been accepted to universities far better than UConn, I cannot go though due to financial issues. So what is the reason behind this?
