Apparently sat scores doesnât factor into the admissions decisions⊠I called in and they told me they donât look at sat scores and that it wonât affect my decision.
@Phampham They donât look at any standardized test scores? I find that hard to believe.

@Phampham is giving incorrect information. They do look at test scores for Freshman applicants. If you check the common dataset for all UCâs, GPA/Test scores/HS course rigor and essays are the most important aspects of the Freshman application. ECâs come next.
I agree, why else would people be spending money to send their kids to SAT/ACT Prep classes.

@ImaJustaPerson: Each UC campus will weight different aspects of the application differently. Usually GPA/Test scores/HS course rigor and essays are the most important. ECâs including community service can set apart applicants that have similar GPA and test scores but no campus will come out an tell you how much they weight each item. UCSB does state on their website that academics (GPA/Test scores) are weighted 50% while ECâs/Essays are weighted 50%, but they are the only campus that does specifically state this.
yeah, I was confused when they told me that. I called in regarding about my December sat scores and making sure that they got my scores and they said its not due till july or something like that. and i asked them if it was going to affect my decision since i scored much higher on my December and they told me no. I will call again tomorrow to make sure.

Why bother? It is what it is, doesnât make a difference to check in the morning, plus you never know whether it will be up or not, doesnât worth the effort⊠@Venomyth

@Venomyth I would not, as it would most likely not be back up at 12:00. Iâd get a good nights sleep and check back later in the afternoon, probably after school would be the perfect time to.
