***UCR CLASS OF 2022 APPLICANT/DECISION THREAD***

I’m also wondering if it is also by school as it seems a lot more business/econ/finance people have posted the last few days. I have seen OOS and in states with lower stats than my sons so not sure what their logic is. I guess we will all know in the next two weeks.

my friend just got rejected from UCR today but my portal says decision pending. i applied for computer engineering and he applied for psychology. did i get rejected and they’re just sending it out slowly? my stats are higher than average for riverside

@gabbyjohn1030 , does it actually say the word “pending”? Mine says being considered for admission. It’s been like that the entire time. My stats are above average a tad for UCR. I’m going for computer science. No word yet. I noticed someone else said the word pending and I’m certainly curious about what that means. I doubt your rejected unless it says it directly. Waiting is the worst! Good luck to both of us

My son’s also says considered for admission…

My husband’s portal says:
Your application is currently being considered for an admission decision.

Someone asked at Life at UCR some questions:
Question # 1: Hi, I was wondering how exactly does the rolling decisions work. I’ve been logging in and still my application says it’s under review. All my friends who applied have already gotten accepted. Does this mean I was rejected?

UCR’s response: Admissions decisions are going out on a rolling basis throughout this month for freshman applicants and throughout April for transfer applicants. Keep checking your portal!

Question # 2: It’s been a week, and i still have not heard back from the admissions decisions. Does that mean I’m rejected?
UCR’s response: No, that does not mean you’re rejected! Admissions decisions are going out on a rolling basis throughout this month for freshman applicants and throughout April for transfer applicants.

Hopefully more acceptances will be put on MyUCR this week/month.

Thank you very much for this update. Really appreciate it!

@gabbyjohn1030 hey, by any chance, do you know your friends gpa and stats?

@jo5068 The one that got rejected? if so, he had a 3.3 weighted, 26 ACT and he took only a few AP classes but he implied he didn’t do well in them. It’s very weird because he got accepted into UC Davis

@Alk2000 no it does not say pending it says I am being considered for admission decision. i am also going for computer engineering and I have only seen two people on this thread get in for computer engineering on chancellor’s scholarship. but thats it

Do rejections all come out at once ? Or does your decision just come out rolling based on when u applied no matter the decision?

@Cat420 I think it is just rolling. Someone I know was rejected today and lots of people are still waiting so I’m sure there’s more coming.

That is super odd @gabbyjohn1030 . My stats are almost the same as his. Thank you for sharing .

@jo5068 he put that he was from sudan, which is in africa, so he’s considered as an African American which might have helped him

Posting very late, figured I’d contribute to this thread as well as the transfer one. Got my acceptance as a transfer on 3/5 (with Regents scholarship). I applied to UCR as a freshman two years ago but got rejected.

My stats:
Community college transfer
Major: Economics
GPA: 3.82
Pre-reqs: last two currently in progress
IGETC: completed
TAG: none
In-state & local

Accepted: CSULB, UCR
Denied: CSU San Bernardino (claimed I didn’t meet the English comp requirement, which I used AP credit for)
Pending: CPP, UCI, UCSD

P.S. I got my rejection on March 1st when I applied as a freshman, in case that helps those of you wondering about the order in which decisions are released.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the packet in the mail after getting accepted?

I haven’t received anything from UCR yet have you??

I got my acceptance last week, I think I saw it around 2am on Tuesday, and I still haven’t gotten it. I’m a Chancellor’s recipient and have gotten a couple emails about attending the reception but nothing physical in the mail.

According to enrico96, on the UCR TRANSFER DECISIONS/DISCUSSION 2018 discussion thread:

“I talked to an admissions counselor today at my CC’s college fair and they told me not to worry if they have not made an admission decision yet. They told me the process is completely random and they only review 100 applications each day in total. So the only thing to do is keep waiting and you should receive a decision.”

If it helps, I applied to gain admission for Fall 2016 and I was waitlisted on 03/24/2016. I was never taken off of the waitlist and went to my local community college.

When my husband logged into MyUCR it says the same message “your application is being reviewed for an admission decision” but there are only two tabs. He only has the account home and profile tabs and nothing else on the page. Does anyone else have this on their portal?
