Just got accepted off of the wait-list for UCSC, but out of the two I don’t know which one has the better Biology program. I’d like to become an Optometrist in the future which requires me to go to Optometry school and not med school; basically UCR’s new Medical School buildings don’t apply to me. Any and all help is appreciated.

Of course, UCR could be helpful if you do decide to switch to medicine and apply to and get admitted to its medical school with its early application program.
