I took a pretty rigorous set of classes over the summer at my CC and unfortunately my GPA went from a 3.09 to a 2.93 so I am no longer at the 3.0 minimum GPA. I've heard from a few people that your Fall grades are also a part of your TAG GPA though I am not sure.

Can anyone fill me in on that? If my GPA is above a 3.0 at the end of Fall semester will I still qualify for TAG? Or is my TAG GPA cutoff at the end of summer?

You’re GPA has to be at least a 3.0 by the time you apply for TAG in September. It then has to stay at or above the 3.0 during the fall and spring semesters.

So the last GPA to matter when you apply is the end of summer GPA.

Robelius: The GPA deadline is by the end of the Fall 2013 semester they ask you in January to input your Fall grades into the TAG Matrix.

The only ones that require the GPA by the end of summer prior to the fall semester are UCI, and UCSC.

So if you work hard in the Fall semester you can still make it!!!

The TAG is just a guaranteed admission to the school, not necessarily your major.
You can only TAG to one UC and you can TAP to UCLA and UCB if you want as well as apply to all of the UC’s if you’d like.

Just work hard in the fall and dedicate yourself.

Thanks Matt4200 for fixing my mistake, as well as the mistake on another thread. I’m not sure what I was thinking, and should probably of gone to sleep instead of posting.

Haha it’s all good yea sometimes you think different when you’re posting up late haha
