<p>How's it going guys, I got a question about sports. I indicated on my application that I did three years of swimming, and that I was planning on joining this year too. However, I'm starting to get second thoughts, and I've also been thinking about getting a job during second semester. If I said I was planning on doing swimming, but I don't, would I get penalized or could my admittance be rescinded?</p>

<p>you’re applying to college – not entering indentured servitude. You’re fine as long as you’re not a swimming recruit or fail out your last semester. Ending an EC is perfectly normal.</p>
<p>Kind of late, but I recently called the UC help line regarding the issue, and they didn’t really give a straight answer. One time they told me that it COULD be a “misrepresentation” of my application if i didn’t do the sport, the second time they straight up told me that they didn’t know how it’d effect me.</p>
<p>After asking around people are telling me that it should be fine, but i’m still a bit skeptical…</p>
