UCSB Fall 2018 Transfer Waitlist Thread

2 more days my friend

what makes you think they will send them out in two more days?

What do you mean two more days? Lol

What do you mean two more days? Lol

Waitlist notifications began June 1st. I didn’t hear anything as of yesterday and the priority housing deadline for transfers is June 8th through the 15th so I’m assuming most of us will find out this upcoming week starting Monday.

Because they send out notifications after June 1st on rolling basis, because right after June 1st is a weekend so June 4 would be the earliest date to do so because they don’t work on weekends. Thus, “2 more days” on the post I made on June 2nd.

Anyone hear anything?

@ctehin I’d wait until 4 pm, since is rolling basis there’s no guarantee it’ll all come out today. I wish they would release all at once though.

I’m too nervous to check my portal lol

well lets hope for tomorrow lol

Most of Freshman waitlisted students got denied around 5/20 and I saw the most of them has over 4.0 gpa… Here is someone called on5/20 to Admission office and the info he got:
“i called the admissions office yesterday and they’ve only let 2 people off the waitlist and denied most. she said there are only a few hundred left on the waitlist, the issue is that they don’t have any space.”

Look like right now they only has few hundred students on the waitlist, hope space can be enough.
Good luck to everyone and I’m waiting for the decision too.

I just hope freshmen and transfer are totally difference cases and they aren’t related

Nothing yet. I’m dead inside.

I think the transfer waitlist will be completely different from the freshmen’s because this is the first year they are having it and the reason I think is because they are not getting enough students to commit after being admitted so a waitlist happened this year. Another reason being there are a lot less transfer students than incoming freshmen and we have a higher chances of getting into better schools than freshmen so there is no doubt there will be some that gets accepted off the waitlist! I try and be positive but tbh this wait is killing me !!!

I got an email at 9 pm from an admissions officer asking for my unofficial transcript for my spring semester grades in order to evaluate my appeal. So hopefully that’s good…

Last year they only had a yield rate of 26% for transfers so i’m Staying pretty positive

Freshmen and transfers are completely different in the UC admissions process… I wouldn’t focus on them

@okcollege when did you send in your appeal?

I want they can ask me to send something…that a big chance…

I mailed it May 24th.
