UCSB has released decisions!

YAY I got in

Only had a 3.6 weighted UC GPA 1610 SAT score 2 years of water polo and swim team, good amount of community service hours. Im guessing good essays.

I got in as well! Finally, my first UC acceptance. :) Now I just need to hear from UCI. Congrats everyone admitted & Sorry to those that weren't!

3.6 GPA 1860 SAT, great stuff like Publications/internship and excellent essays=rejected

:(

Sorry to hear that ScaredAsHell. I had a 3.96 GPA & about a 1600 on my SAT, not that much EC at all. Surprised I got in, but sorry again. :/

3.8 GPA, 2060 SAT, rejected. Maybe it's cuz I got one D?

Accepted

hello:

Yeah, other than UCM and UCR, the UCs don't accept D's or F's.

I got a D on AP Calculus 1st semester of Junior year, but I pulled it up to an A and passed the exam.

Accepted

Edit: Biochem major

Congrats those who got in!

What's the deal with the honors program? I know it's the top ten percent and you get some benefits like library privledges and you have to do community service, but other than that, what does it entail?

^I just got into honors too (with fairly low stats), after taking a quick look at the privileges, it doesn't look too special, except for priority class enrollment and the special study hall.

Anyone have any insight?

Im in!!! soo excited.. got rejected from UCSC and UCSD.. was really panicking...
ps- im international (India) !! YAY .. cant wait for the others now

I got in as pre-biology, but I put applied as zoology...
pre-biology is just what they call it until you finish the pre-requisites, right?

Yay! I got in!!! I was kind of worried, because according to naviance, I now have THE lowest GPA of anyone acccepted from my school over the past two years!!!

i was wondering? what exactly does pre-biology mean? i mean what are the prerequisites?

Everyone is pre-blabh blabh blah.

You don't actually go into your major till Junior year-or until you have some GE's and major requirement classes done.

And how do you know if you're in honors? Where does it say?

So excited. I wasn't super hyped about UCSB before, but the more I think about it, the more it appeals to me.

Same here jennyheart! I wasn't really into UCSB, but I'm kind of excited now that I've been accepted.
