UCSB or UCD?

Okay so I got into all of the UCs except for UCLA and Cal.
I've narrowed it down pretty much to UCD and UCSB.

SB is an hour and a half away from home, not too close yet close enough for me to be there for my 9 year old sister. I've always lived by the beach, so it's a plus that it'll still be with me. I have NO idea what my major is or going to be, so choosing a college off major seems pointless to me. However, I want to go to grad school and was trying to find the stats for undergraduates and their successes at UCSB vs. UCD, but i couldn't find any. I love the area and of course the social life because I am a VERY social person and as of right now i think i'm leaning towards SB just because it is a great school, and any UC is good for grad school.
HOWEVERRRRRR....

UCD is offering me more money than UCSB (not by a lot, about 3K) but is extremely far from where I live (7 hours or so) making it impossible to be there for my sister. It's in the middle of nowhere, but I feel as if I'd be better prepared for grad school, although I am very driven so I'm not sure if it even matters because I don't want to be miserable there. It doesn't feel like myself. BUT I DONT WANT TO MAKE THE WRONG DECISION! I really liked Davis's campus.

I just need feedback... on anything really. UNdergrad success possibly? Anything will help. Thanks.

3K is 12K over 4 years which is not huge but is that all loans? More details on the financials would be good.

Personally, I am with you SB is much nicer, but more expensive to live in than UC Davis (once you get out of the dorms). But you also have to factor in gas/airline money back and forth. I don’t think you can make a “wrong” decision both are equally good schools, but if the 12K is extra loans than I might consider D. All things being equal I would choose SB just because I like SB better.
