UCSB policy on retaking classes

I failed some courses at UCSB and took them over at a local community college for a passing grade. Will UCSB acknowledge the passing grade and remove the F's from my GPA? I've tried to call them multiple times (since I do not live in the area) but can't get a hold of anyone. Can't email them either. Please help!

Short answer is No. See faq 5.

btw: since you are a SB student, you should learn that nearly everything you need to know is in the UC catalog.

Thanks for your reply

I’m not a SB student. It has been years since then.

So for the classes I already retook, do they average out the two attempts? How does it work exactly? My goal now is just for an AA, not for transfer or anything.

I’m trying to find any way to improve my overall GPA, basically.
