UCSB UCLA or Loyola Marymount?

So I’ve gotten in to SB and LMU and I’m currently waiting for UCLA. I’m completely torn between the three, If I get in to UCLA that would be amazing and I would feel the most proud but I still wouldn’t be sure if it was the right school for me to go to.

I have reserves about UCLA because I’d be a really small fish in a giant, cutthroat academic lake.

Santa Barbara is a little far from home since I’m from Orange County and LA would be a bit more convenient, but again, I’m not sure if the location difference matters enough for me to make a decision. I think I would have the most fun at Santa Barbara but maybe too much fun? I really do like the vibe in Isla Vista though.

LMU is the smallest school and the only private catholic… It just seems so different I don’t know how to compare them.

All three schools are very different and I like them all for different reasons. How do I decide which factors are most important? What are your opinions on these schools? And do you think the prestige of a school really matters?

BTW- I’m currently going to major in Sociology but I have plans for going towards either business or law… I’m interested in studying abroad and I want a school where I can be really involved.
