UCSB vs Berkeley

Recently, I've been accepted to both UCSB and UC Berkeley, but now I can't decide which school I want to attend. I will be transferring there as a Chemical Engineering major.

Is there anyone here who has gone to either schools with this particular major? Any insight would be helpful (class difficulty, professors, social life, etc..)

As of right now, I am leaning a little bit towards attending UCSB, but any advice?

UC Berkeley is ranked number 2 in the nation for Chemical Engineering, but I heard it’s hard. I’m sure it’s difficult everywhere though, can’t expect it to be easy.

Yes, I am very aware of the rankings, but that does very little in telling me what each program has to offer. I have seen what each school has written on their website, but they say very similar things.

I want to hear from a student’s or graduated student’s prospective.
