<p>Which language is UCSC known for? (I.E. is their German program the best? French? Etc)</p>
<p>I don’t think UCSC is particularly renowned for any of its languages. With that said, most of the programs have wonderful professors, although some are quite underfunded and will often lack a reasonable selection of classes (Greek, Russian, and Portuguese come to mind as examples of this). Additionally, the range of languages offered leaves something wanting.</p>
