I have currently been accepted into both UCSC and SDSU (early acceptance). Originally I just applied to Purdue on a whim and didn't take it seriously, but after being rejected from UCD I decided to give it a second look. Thats when I realized I hadn't sent my SAT score to Purdue yet, so I did two days ago. I don't think this will affect my admissions decision because they have rolling admissions. I think my odds of getting in are about 65-35.

Anyways, I currently live on the border of southern California and was really looking forward to exploring new places in college. Which is why I am not too keen about going to San Diego for college, since I know the area so well. Also, I am not a partier whatsoever, so I am apprehensive about attending a "party school". Also, many people from my local high school go there, which is a minus.

As for UCSC, I believe it has a much better education that SDSU, but it lacks many qualities I was looking forward too. For example, a large sports team, school spirit, a lot of greek life, etc. And I don't like how spread out the campus is, even though it is beautiful. These things are all extremely important to me because I will be living on campus and I am a very spirited person. SDSU does have many of these things, but its education and location pale in comparison.

Purdue would be my favorite of all three, but I am apprehensive because I haven't been accepted yet. Also, it is located all the way in Indiana. I'm accustomed to a small town whose only season is summer. Although I am not opposed to going out of state, I am a little frightened because I know very little about West Lafayette, and living in cold weather.

My major would be Physics, but there is a good chance I'll change it to engineering once attending school.

I appreciate any help! Thank you!
