<p>I'm going into mechanical engineering and am wondering what school has the best engineering college. My choices so far:</p>

UCR
San Jose State University
Northridge State University
Long Beach State University</p>
<p>“Best” is vague. Very vague. Some people prefer programs that focus on work experience, others prefer programs with a strong theoretical side. Got anything in particular you’re looking to get out of the degree? Any thoughts on graduate school yet?</p>
<p>I’m looking to learn as much as I can and be prepared for a high level technology career. I’m into electronics, computers, physics and math. I like to get a hand on things, but I’m also a huge software user, not a programmer yet. I would prefer the mechanical major but computer was my second choice for all of my admissions. No graduate school for now.</p>
