UCSD Acceptance

Any bio majors who got in so far???

Damn, no luck for me yet  3.89 gpa with tag.

I got into Warren; 1st choice
3.76 TAG psychology major :)

lol looks like its just psych majors. no biology so far. ANY body who got in with a bio major? is it taking so long because it is impacted?

Yes! Got in, feels great! …and got into my first choice college (Thurgood Marshall).

After seeing the post from Levonid, I quickly went to the myapplication site to check, and there it was. For those wanting to get a “feel” here are my stats:

Major: Electrical Engineering

Overall Transferable gpa: 3.85

Major specific gpa (Major specific to UCSD): 3.73**

Application submitted: Nov. 16th

TAG: Initially submitted and got approved for TAG (in September/October 2010). However could not fullfill requirements needed 4 more courses to complete IGETC - was planning to do these in the winter and spring '11 - yeah, right  - but realistically, with all the pre-reqs (required for UCLA and Berkeley) I knew this was not a realistic possibility! - indicated this in the Jan. update.

** major gpa varies according to the specific requirements of the university. My “major gpa” is actually higher for UCLA (3.79) because UCLA does not need “Physics 1B - Fluids, Heat and Sound” (in which I got a “B”) as a major requirement.

i’m a bio major… maybe they doing them by major… they will leave impacted for last

Guys… guys T_T… I finally reached my goal… i’m crying tears of happiness ! Admitted to ERC as philosophy major with TAG agreement. Submitted my UC application ON THE DEAD OF THE DEADLINE. So I think UCSD do admissions randomly.

Last name starts with S.

nobody got into their alt. major?? with TAG?

TAG also here, no decision yet. They better not screw up this year again!

Congrats guys! Did you guys get an email or did you have to check online?

Guys!!! ): Do you guys just log into my tritonlink? That’s it? I don’t know where to see my decision… Please help!

^ myapplication.ucsd.edu

I cant even sign in…i just get an error

also will it notify you by Gmail or w/e?? or did you guys have to check on your own

I didn’t get a notification; I just came on to CC and saw the “OMG GOT INTO UCSD WOOOOOO FHEKJGFDIH H GFDKHGF” posts.

And so I checked lmao.

HEY!!! I’m ACCEPTED TOO!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D I’M SOOO HAPPYE!!!

Congrats to all of you already accepted!

Does any one know if a day’s batch of decisions are released throughout the day, or is it just at one particular time of the day and then none for the rest of that particular day (like UCI)?

i didn’t get an e-mail when i got accepted

There’s a certain magic to UC acceptances… it feels rather nice. Even if the school in question isn’t necessarily your first choice. Now people (or at myself) will be revved up and looking forward to more; especially to LA and Cal.

You’re wanted. Makes you feel warm and cozy inside.
