UCSD Acceptance

Accepted

TAG
GPA: 4.0
Major: History
College: Warren (I think first choice)
Applied mid-cycle, around 20th

Anyone know what batches refers to. Is it like a bunch of admittances every couple of weeks, or could decisions come out tomorrow?

im in, Muir, 3.45 Tagged philosophy

:)))))

I said this earlier, but i’ll just say it again.
I called and asked a few days ago and the lady told me one batch of decision would come da the end o march and the next on mid-april. So i think this is all we will hear on this month. The lady also said most of the decision will come out on april and only a few on march. Am guessing 4.0s and some social sciences TAG?
I just wanted to be in the first batch… dont want to wait till april :(

accepted!

gpa 3.4
major economics
TAG
MUIR College
applied towards the end of november, i think 28th

are these acceptances by regions? meaning were those of you accepted from the san diego area?

ahhh sigh, so if we didn’t get in yet we got to wait till mid april, *** boo  anothher 3-4 weeks :/

^I think this is by major… i hae only seen social sciences and one engineer and i think it was not impacted… so maybe not impacted majors?

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOO-HOOO-HOO-HOOO, I just checked on a whim and found out I got in! Before I thought I had a shot at UCLA, UCSD was my 1st choice, and right now it’s tied with Irvine as my 2nd choice so I’m at least in at one of my backup schools!~ Here’s my proof

I’m not even in SoCal, so I doubt it’s by region. I agree with @ealarcon1991, I think it’s by something else, possibly major or something.

ahhhh im so excited i can barely study for my finals
hopefullyy the rest of you guys hear back soooonnnn its an amazing feeling!

also, im from the bay so i doubt its by region

"Thank you for your application to UC San Diego. We are currently reviewing applications for the Fall 2011 quarter.

Decisions for applicants will be posted mid March to April 30. Please check back later regarding the status of your application."

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUu–

Damn, I got so excited when I read that people got in. :(

3.73, Economics, TAG…still waiting. :(

I’m from the Bay Area too, so yeah, probably not based on proximity to So. Cal.

Anyone in human bio get accepted? Or rejected for that matter

Can someone explain this to me

I TAG’d as a bio major but on my regular application i put my alt. major as psych. did i waste my TAG on the bio major or will they also consider my alt major as Tag’d too

My UC GPA is a 3.1 so most likely i will not get in as a bio major

because when filling out the TAG app they do not ask for your alt. major

AANNNDDD I just submitted the housing application :D

for bio majors, they will only choose the top 200 gpas. sure, its possible you can still get in as a psych major, but dont count on it due to the increased number of applicants this year.

yeah so far I don’t think a bio major has been accepted./

@ yheafreak
yeah i understand that but my question is will the TAG contract also count towards my alt. major as well

I’m in. TAG, political science, GPA 3.4-3.95 (depending on how some out of state classes transferred).

Congratulations everyone!
