how is ucsd for humanity majors? im a english/lit major. Would ucsd be a bad choice for me?

I’ve heard they’re actually pretty good. They’re Library is even named after Dr. Seuss because his wife donated a lot for that school and since it’s so highly ranked overall as it is, I’m sure the program is good. I want to do english/lit but I don’t know if I would do good in that major. Maybe just minor in it. It’s alwayssss been something I’ve been interested in.

nevermind

We appreciate all of the hard work you are doing to help promote and prepare students to participate in our Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. UC San Diego received nearly 9,000 TAG applications for Fall 2011, and more than 4,600 students completed an application for admission and checked off both UC San Diego TAG and IGETC. These numbers reflect an enormous interest in UC San Diego TAG!

Given the budget and campus capacity realities, however, UC San Diego is unable to sustain a guarantee program at this level of participation. To continue to offer this robust program, based on an extensive review of our applicant TAG data for the past four years, we proposed to our Committee on Admissions (COA) that the minimum grade point average requirement be increased from 3.0 to 3.5. After careful review, the COA approved the request.

Please be aware that, effective for the Fall 2012 admission cycle, the minimum grade point average requirement for participation in the TAG program will change from 3.0 to 3.5. Please see our updated TAG website for more information, which also includes a link to a new flyer.

Although this is not an ideal resolution, we are able to offer a TAG program for Fall 2012 to our most valued partners, the California community college system. Thank you for your continued support and service to our transfer students.

OK, so i’m freaking out :S i just checked UCR and i was rejected. I thought it was going to be one my safties (even when i got rejejcted tag) . I want to go to UCSD. But idk what my chances would be. I tagged, but something tells me i will be rejected from there too. Most assists prereq are done, some in progress and i wont be taking 2 biolgy classes. My major is biochem. GPA 3.24.
Should i be worried?
I think i did everything right. Just hopping everything goes well :S hopefully TAG decissions come out soon

@nujabes ya that news is actually really old. so people who are transfering this fall are lucky ducks
