I recently got into both UCSD and Cal State Fullerton and am wanting to study Econ, does anyone have opinions on which college has a better program?
UCSD has a fairly renowned Econ program (top 15 if that matters to you) and respected professors. There are also connections through the Rady School or Management and numerous recruiters on campus (frequently from huge financial corporations). I can’t speak for CSUF’s program, though.
UCSD Econ is more renown. However, CSUF has a really good business/ accounting program. If you are into accounting then CSUF but if not UCSD is better for academics. It depends on what you think you might want to do in the future.
Keep in mind that UCSD has one of the more math-heavy Econ departments
Sorry to drag this threada back up but Im still torn. I have given myself a self imposed deadline of 05/17 so I can start working on the logistics of moving ect. I hope to pursue an MBA after my undergrad can anyone shed any light on the better school with that in mind ? Additionally, I have toured both schools and am finding it hard to resist UCSD on looks alone.
If you want to study Econ, UCSD is the best choice. CSUF is not as well known in Econ. MBA is independent of undergraduate experience. I almost finished with an MBA (before I got married
) at CSUF but I never need it.
