Haven’t received an email so having a bad feeling about this :frowning:

Waitlisted
ACT: 29
UC GPA : 3.95
Major : Communications

Even though I’m disappointed I didn’t get accepted, I’m grateful to have been put on the waitlist. Congratulations to everyone who got in! I know all of you, whether you got in or not, will be successful next year!

@Dhruv97 - its only on online portal. Did you login and check ? I don’t know when they will send email.

They didn’t send the emails yet. Check your portal guys!

@Dhruv97‌ Check your portal. I didn’t get an email, but when I logged into the portal I saw I was accepted.
Does anyone have any information on Regents?

My D got admitted! Yay! Except she applied Engineering and got her 2nd choice. Anyone know if you can transfer to engineering?

Accepted
GPA- 4.2, 3.89
SAT-2020
College- Marshall
Major- Econ
Any other econ majors in Marshall!?

@uclade Congratulations!! Is her first choice an “Impacted Major”? you can check that here:https://students.ucsd.edu/academics/advising/majors-minors/impacted-majors.html
If it is an “Impacted Major” , like mine is(Computer science), then you should find the related website and check to see what requirements they have to change the major. for example the website for CS is : http://cse.ucsd.edu/ImpactedMajor

Waitlisted
GPA - 4.1 i believe? not sure
SAT - 2290
Major - Physiology and Neuroscience (first choice)
Human Biology (second choice)

My son stat:
GPA 4.9/5.0
SAT–2270
Merit Finalist
Major: Biology

Got in for Muir and Econ major.
GPA: 4.21 capped
SAT: 2060

Back in 2013, when the portal was open, the acceptance notice did not mention anything about Regent. But when we viewed the financial aid tab, there was mention of Regent Scholar-$2000. Thats how we knew he got Regent. Not sure if it’s the same this year.

@dana267 yes - she applied bioengineering, Thanks! I found the information on how to apply to the major in your Sophomore year if you are not accepted as an incoming Freshman. We are going to sign up for Triton Day! Yay! Still waiting on 5 more UCs…

BTW - UCDavis coming in under 3 hours. Those who got denied or waitlisted in UCSD and applied in UCD, head over there. Good luck to all!

Got into Muir (top choice) as Undeclared (applied for CSc).

SAT Score: 2330 (800 M, 800 W, 730 CR)

SAT II Score: 2400 (800 Math, 800 Chem, 800 Phy)

Grades: All A+ from grade 9-11.

Essays: 7/10

ECs: Lots of National and International Level wins.

Leadership: President Student Council in my school.

Very disappointed. I feel that going to college as Undeclared is not a good idea at all. I don’t want to risk my future here! What if I do like CSc in college and do want to study it but can’t get a place in that major?
Going in as Undeclared is pure gamble a student plays with his/her life.

I would have been happier if UCSD had put me in some other college as CSc. Atleast I would have studied what I liked. And also, from what I hear, the colleges are more or less same.

A lot of my friends have got in Warren. Is it easier to get into Warren than Muir?

Son- Accepted for 2nd major Mechanical Eng. from 1st major Biomedical Eng.
School: Warren (2nd choice)
4.5 weighted gpa (Not sure on UC gpa)
30 act 1 sitting super score higher
Many AP, Honors and Dual Credit College courses
Tons of EC with leadership and awards
4 years Varsity Athletics many awards and leadership
Community Service etc.
Instate
Caucasian

Happy…

Is there any correlation for acceptance and getting that Housing message?

@dana267 thank you for the link, it turned out chemical engineering isnt among impacted majors this year
