it doesn’t mean anything. it’s just an automated email.
anyone have an idea what day decisions are expected to be released? i cross-referenced previous years and it should be in the second or third week of march
@sammygrammy I would guess 3/15 (third Friday in March)
Hi, I applied to UCSD as a cogsci major because it seems really interesting, but is it impacted/capped? I went on the website and it doesn’t look impacted, so does that mean I’ll have a higher chance getting in?
@thetwixbar: A higher chance of getting into UCSD depends upon your stats, personal insight essays and EC’s. Your whole application will be reviewed to determine your acceptance. UCSD admits into the University first and then into the major and they also consider your alternate major or Undeclared if you do not meet your 1st choice major criteria.
Are we betting on 3/8 or 3/15?
Does anyone have an application status portal link? For the life of me I can’t find one.
@xenonpulse here’s the portal link! https://beatriton.ucsd.edu/account/login?r=https%3a%2f%2fbeatriton.ucsd.edu%2fapply%2fstatus%3f_ga%3d2.237602631.676342351.1551655366-491475229.1551655366
I am betting on March 15 because last year it came out on the third Friday of March which was the 16th, and this year the third Friday of March is March 15.
I hope I hear back on March 15 which is when it should be based on when the decisions came out last year.
i wonder if the UC’s coordinate admissions dates so there’s no overlap because UCLA is rumored to come out on either the 15th or the 22nd…and UCSD is rumored to come out on the 15th…hmm
@sammygrammy no they do not. Last year both released on same day also if I’m not mistaken
@gzza73 hmm I think you’re right about last yr. so they could hypothetically both come out on the 15th. oy
UC San Diego and UCLA coming out on the 15th make sense, and maybe we will hear from Irvine on the 15th because they all came out on about the same time last year.
and UCSB is after on March 19th
@sammygrammy Idk about this year but ucsd and ucla have come out on the same day in the past.
last year, UCSD and UCLA were 2 hours apart on the same day, Friday 3/16/2018. 3pm PT for UCSD, 5pm for UCLA.
Can anyone comment on their experience in revelle college? I applied there and just want to know how the academics and social life are.
Possible wave tomorrow? Saw someone on the UCLA thread talking about it
Has UCSD offered Regents to anyone? I heard that UCSD informs top candidates in early March. Has that happened?
