@lovelei you’re right! it does look a bit different because I don’t remember seeing my info and stats listed on the page. Maybe, it’s a sign that we will be the first ones to be notified…lol
@skyinthesky I have the same amount of units done!! I don’t know why it bothers me that I have these much units completed. Also, I don’t think I’m going to have enough sleep for this week even if I might not be part of the first batch. THANKS, A LOT!
@AdultSwimFan I feel about the not enough sleep. The last two years the first batch were on March 10th (2017) and March 11th (2016). Again, it is only my prediction for March 9th, but it seems possible. From the posts I have seen, there is no specific GPA, major, or school (since UCSD has 6 colleges) that will let you know early and seems random besides the fact they are non-capped majors. It is hard to tell because I only have access to the info posted on previous threads
@AdultSwimFan do you mean UC Application ID, email, name, and place of birth? Mine has been there since I got the portal in December. I don’t think mine has changed recently.
@gonewiththeair The application ID number used to be on the top right corner of the page and now it’s in the box with my and stuff. That’s the only major change I’ve noticed but it does look like the formatting is slightly different too.
*with my name and stuff.
@lovelei @AdultSwimFan I noticed that my portal changed as well. I am wondering if early decisions are based on when your TAU gets forwarded or when you filled out the forms on the UCSD application
@lovelei Exactly!
I don’t want to keep our hopes up but @skyinthesky may be right. Maybe, we will be the first ones! I am getting too nervous and excited already!
@AdultSwimFan I hope so. I had to submit a second TAU on January 20th because the name of my class was changed, but I am really hoping I get in early. It will give me more peace of mind
@skyinthesky same here! I submitted my second TAU on January 30th because I added and changed classes.
@lovelei oh you’re right! I just assumed it had always been there from the start but I think you’re right
@AdultSwimFan You’re probably not getting in with those stats. Sorry. No wonder why you tr00ll the UCBerkeley Transfer page so often, because you know that it’s such a reach for you.
First wave of decisions is supposed to come out in two days based on predictions from last year! I’m so nervous, although majority of us will get decisions end of April, ugh
https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/admissions-residency-and-ethnicity (By ethnicity)
https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/admissions-source-school (The comprehensive one)
https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major (Transfer by Major)
For all of you to look at if you want, this is all three of them. You’re welcome lol
@RamenNoooodle it’s true… I didn’t apply to Berkeley but it’s because they don’t have my major. However, I’m more than confident that I will get into UCSD because admit rate for cog sci was 80% last year. So, I hope the info got through your ramen noodle brain. Also, stop with the childish assaults.
@hailey5799 The tiny batch should come out around 3 pm ish based on the last few years, it seems to land on the second friday of march, hope some of us can get in then!
I think people who will hear back early may be hearing back next Friday not this Friday- according to the freshman thread, it seems like decisions for them will be released next Friday and I think they release on the same day usually.
@gonewiththeair I was about to say the same thing. It seems that it has been pushed back by a week, which bums me out but there is a chance we might not hear until April. I wish transfer students found out the same time as freshman
@skyinthesky @gonewiththeair Yeah, I believe it because I’ve talked to a UCSD rep in my college, and she told me that they are still reviewing transfer applications. BUT, she didn’t mention that it would delay and she said that we could hear by the end of this week. So, I think it’s still likely to be this week!
@AdultSwimFan The reason I say its next week now is that the calling campaign that they have alumni do usually start a few days before the decisions are up on the portal for freshman and the few transfers that get in early. The calling campaign starts on the 13th, so it is looking like next will be the day. Which sucks, I was really hoping to know tomorrow
