@cloud7 oh gotcha, Its not a federal holiday. So campus should be open
the true holiday will be whenever UCSD releases their decisions
@cloud7 I think only religious schools would celebrate Easter Monday. I’ve never heard of a public school being closed or anything like that for Easter Monday.
@CAtransplant @Scoobybrew True. The next day UCSD has off is Memorial Day.
UCLA>UCSD>UCB>UCR
I really hope UCSD comes before UCLA. I got accepted to UC Berkeley, but I really don’t see myself going there. UCLA is my top choice, but I doubt I’ll get in.
@Glycogenolysis My current school is Pepperdine and this is my preference:
UCLA>USC>Emory>UCB>Pepperdine>UCSD>UCI
Hopefully, I will get into USC and Emory. Otherwise, I will stay since I got rejected by UCB. UCLA may reject me as well because I am missing the second English class and UCLA&UCB are strict on completing prereqs.
So is there any chance they come out tomorrow? I find it odd that there’s no word on it really at all. Yeah it could be at the same time as UCLA (24th, 5pm) but I thought they’d release on different days.
@JakeRice40 I think at this point anything is possible! This year has been very different from previous years especially with UCB. I wouldn’t count anything out.
Yea I mean they have to come out a week from Tuesday no matter what. I think the latest I’ve seen them release was the 26th which was last year.
I feel as though I’m really losing respect for this school after going through this transfer process and UCSD not communicating at all, it gives me the feeling that they don’t care so much about transfer students…
ok so which one of you go-getters is calling them to find out?
@Left_hand I’ll try tomorrow because I need some clarity.
I’m pretty sure they typically release on Thursdays/ Fridays. I’m not counting on hearing anything early this week

I think a lot of the typically has gone out the window. For me, personally, because several of my friends have transferred there, it doesn’t reflect poorly on the school as a whole. I know that they support their transfers well and my friends have never regretted their decision. However, I do wish they would communicate with us. Even if it’s not an exact date, just a ballpark or even a tweet/email acknowledging the wait time.
@queen_ofthenorth unfortunately that’s pretty accurate.
So I called them yesterday and their voicemail still has updates for December 2018. If you’re such a prestigious univeristy don’t you think you should get rid of that when your 4 months away from december. Kind of lost respect and don’t care about decision since such a great school should be on top of their game not so laid back ina sense to the point of not caring.
@imstressin I was going to say that exact thing,. They don’t seem to care much for transfers. UCs are under pressure to accept a certain number of transfers each year and they probably aren’t thrilled about that. I read this article just the other day - a transfer student complaining about the lack of transfer resources:

I’d still choose to go though if accepted. lol.
@ishitak Let us know what they say. Stress that you’re worried about the CSU deadline to SIR or something…They might feel a little more inclined to help.
Does anyone think they’ll post later today?
I’m probably going to have to say no. Knowing UCSD so far it will probably be the end of this week or even Monday/Tuesday of next week.
