UCSD in Pictures

@Astrina, I haven’t actually, but I’m from the bay area, and comparatively speaking, I’m sure the may grays and june glooms of La Jolla will seem “nice” in comparison to the year-round grays and glooms of the bay area. Nonetheless, two months of subpar weather cannot “outshine” (hehe that was a pun) the mostly-awesome weather here.

@astrina

You have got to be *ing kidding me. *ty weather in La Jolla is still amazing weather anywhere else in the US and don’t even deny it.

I do understand where astrina was coming from. Winter/spring season absolutely sucks and this summer it didn’t even get sunny until mid-late august. One day in June, if I recall correctly, was colder than 25 of the 31 days in january. La jolla weather is not perfect, I think that’s all she was trying to say.

I know you can’t be serious with this statement.

Don’t get so mad, Kings. We both hail from the same little cowtown and know what it’s like in SD. It’s not perfect anywhere. Of course I love San Diego, but I’m not sure why I have to defend that to you?

Although Hawaii > La Jolla

^I’m not mad or anything, but come on. The weather year round is amazing compared to 98% of the US. And ucsandeigo915, how can the weather suck in the winter when the daily mean is 58 degrees? A lot of places in the winter barely get over 30. My friend at BYU hardly makes it outside because of all the snow and I’m at the beach in shorts. And don’t even start with “little cowtown”. I’m from Lincoln, so if Sacramento is a cowtown, then I don’t want to know what you consider Lincoln. Also for the record, when I was in Hawaii last summer, I found it quite humid. Still really nice though, but not above La Jolla in my opinion. :)

I know what you mean, and I’m originally from somewhere that gets freezing in the winter. I guess I’m just being a downer cause it was a cold year in la jolla, i was wearing boots and coats right to the end of spring quarter

La Jolla totally sucks, guys. I agree with astrina and ucsandiego915–sometimes SD reaches like 78 degrees and I start to sweat. Worst summers ever.

Y’all are just trollin’ if you don’t agree.

You know what sucks… these random heat waves. Its 100+ in my room because there’s no air conditioning

Astrina, who is that “worst professor” in picture 41 of UCSD Life.

he was a first-year teacher, so new that he had an older (and more experienced) mentor sitting in on his lectures to keep an eye on things. occasionally the mentor would have to get up and re-explain things so the class could actually understand what was going on.

but he’s left ucsd now, so no need to worry!

Thanks to tungtied, we’ve got the link to the grade distribution archives dating back to WI07!
