I plan on being a molecular bio major at UCSD (Class of 2020). I have heard that a biology major does not hold much weight if I do not go to med school. Is this true?
I want to be a forensic scientist/Criminalist. I looked on the internet, and saw what criminalists make in SD county, where I hope to get a job. Starting out they make around 60,000-62,000 and this can go up to 100,000 with experience and a masters. I am really interested in this field.
Would this be a good field to get in?
Would a Molecular Bio degree be the right degree to enter this field with?
Would going to UCSD vs. SDSU help bolster my resume?
