UCSD or Cal Poly Pomona for ChE?

Hello All,

I was accepted into both programs as a chemical engineer.. I know the prestige that comes along with going to a UC but from what I read the SD's ChE program has only been around for about 6 or 7 years while Cal Poly has been around much longer. Its' ChE program produces 1 out of 14 ChE coming from the school and I have found no facts like that from the UCSD program...So I wondering what is your take on the two colleges? Which is better for a ChE regardless of the prestige of the UC and rather from the specific ChE stand point?

if you want to just get a job, go to Cal Poly. It will be cheaper unless your financial aid package is super amazing from UCSD.

If you want to do research, go to UCSD.

Thank you Lookin4ward for your input.

Anyone else?

Which school fits your personality and tastes better?
