So, I got accepted into UCSD along with a few of my friends, a few of them got regents and an Overnight stay program email.
Anyone know how many UCSD applicants get regents and how they decide regents? Also, any ideas on how the overnight stay program works exactly? Like how are they decided? I got neither regents nor the overnight stay program email so… yeah just curious.
The overnight (I could be wrong) is for applicants with hooks. For example, I was invited because I am low income and first generation student. My scores are sub par so i don’t think it has to do with the smartest applicants.
I got regents and invited to the overnight program as well, so based on the comment above I definetly agree it’s based on any applicant with a special hook. As for regents, I don’t have any idea of how many people get regents but I know of only a couple people who got it in my school (so I assume the ratio is pretty small)
Is there any connection between the Overnight Program application & our UC App? Can I use similar essays for both applications?
