UCSD/USC Financial aid?

I was wondering how much financial aid id get from UCSD. I live with my mom and her estimated income is only around 25,000 a year. I am an OOS student however so I didn’t know if they would give me a lot of financial aid similar to students that are instate.

Also, how much financial aid does USC give out since its a private school? USC is my reach school academics wise, and I feel like I have good chances of admission into UCSD, but the costs of both are so much ):

Thanks for the input! (sorry if this is in the wrong section)

I’ve used both calculators however I’ve heard different things about UC’s system with financial aid. Some say they don’t offer FA for OOS students anymore and that they’d still be expected to pay the OOS costs. Was just curious to the validity of this. Of course I guess I won’t truly know until I get my FAFSA statemenr baxk.

Except for some rare merit scholarships, there is no financial aid (besides federal aid) for out-of-state undergraduates at UCs. Even when there was some years ago, there was no coverage of the additional out-of-state tuition (except for some rare merit scholarships).

Suerly, the net price calculator would have shown you that the only aid you would get is federal aid as an out-of-state student at UCSD.

Did you put your state of residency in the UCSD calculator? Based on a family income of $25,000 and no assets the estimated net cost for an out of state student is $53,000.

Aww darn. Rip my chances at UCSD tho haha thanks guys!
