After viewing the Financial Aid package at UCSD I'm really considering submitting my SIR, unless UCLA or UCB gives a better package.

UCSD is paying for 100% of tuition fees, book costs, and giving me $3000 for living expenses. I will be 0 dollars in debt by the time I graduate, how awesome is that.

If you go to Apartments for Rent and Homes for Rent and look at apartments around UCSD (La Jolla), it's INSANE. You can live in an ENORMOUS apartment w/ pool+gym+etc with 2 roomates for $800/per person.

On a sidenote, if anyone knows how to find roomates at UCSD let me know!

=(. i got 0 financial aid awards and only Subsidized Stafford Loan for $301.

I got no financial aid too, sucks ass. my letter was dated april 4th, psych major 3.4 ish lol, just waiting to hear from LA then going to make my decision

mrxmark: That $3000 will go very quickly. what sucks about FA is that they give it to you in chunks over time. whenever you need the money the most it is never there, but when the hard times have passed your check comes.

mrxmark: do you mind telling us your EFC? You don't have to give a specific number, a range/ballpark figure would be fine. Or nothing at all is cool too, I know it's a personal thing.

anchor: I'm a UCB/UCLA aspirant, worked full time for the past four years. In two of those years, I earned over 50k.

einna: my efc is 987 - I know it's low lol, but my parents are divorced and I give almost all my money to my mom to help her.

On a side note, our accountant guided us step-by-step with our FAFSA to ensure the best return possible.

is the next batch really not coming out until the 30th?! great..im waiting for CAL and SD now :(
