<p>I’m sorry that was so long.</p>
<p>I’m responding on my mom’s CC account, but I also attended the DiScho weekend, and had a very different experience from ceinwyofavalon. After I RSVP’d, I was sent a short “welcome and let me know if you need anything” email from the organizer of the weekend. I agree that there was little information sent out to students, but I found that when I did email for information, the staff who organized the event were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Coming from out of state, there was a little confusion as to who was picking me up, but a quick call to the admissions office cleared that up.</p>
<p>My host was very studious but he made sure that I was having fun. I was introduced to his friends, and was promptly invited across the hall for a game of Rock Band when he had to finish his chem problem set. When I found out that the mattress they provided me with did not come with linens, my host’s friends volunteered sheets and pillows.</p>
<p>I was aware of how much down time we were given, but I took advantage of this time and met many other students. I enjoyed this, and I feel I learned about the university from the perspectives of others in the same position.</p>
<p>Before the DiScho weekend, UD was #4 on my list. Because of the people I met there and the generous scholarships, I decided that UD is where I will be going in the fall.</p>
<p>Like ceinwynofavalon, I’ll take questions too.</p>
<p>And ceinwynofavalon, we may have met. Did you attend Dr. Munson’s for dinner on Saturday night?</p>
<p>I was chosen to be a finalist for the 2010 UD Scholars Competition! Yayy, I’m excited, but I’m a bit overwhelmed. Maybe someone can help me?
Can someone tell me the exact itinerary of Friday and Saturday? I’ve emailed Dr. Schultz, but I’m still awaiting a reply. I’m not staying overnight Thursday because I’m a DE resident, I live 15 minutes away.</p>
<p>Where did you get that information? My daughter just got home!!</p>
<p>Does anyone know when/how scholarship recipients are notified? I was told that decisions are already made.</p>

<p>I got my letter! I’m a DuPont Scholar. I’m thrilled. Delaware is definitely at the top of my list now. :]</p>

<p>Can you please reply back about your stats, IS or OOS, the $ offered by UDel, other schools you were accepted at (and their merit/fin aid), and if you’re attending UDEL?</p>
