Finally it’s D day!!! Good luck everyone!

ugh

I just realized I have to be at the school dance for NHS when decisions are out

@kaitefoxfire can you still check?

Just checked to make sure i had the site saved so my daughter could just click. The portal is re-directing to log in page? Anyone else with this issue?

@Ufmomhopeful2021 You mean the coalition log in page?

I’ll excuse myself for a minute and look because I’m the officer in charge tonight (as far as I know). @Ufmomhopeful2021 I’m not

Good luck to all this year! I got accepted 2 years ago (best day ever!!) and the portal opened roughly 15 minutes before 6:00 pm, so trust me it can happen.

about 2.5 hrs

Does anyone know how hard or easy it would be to switch from engineering to the arts and sciences?

What were your stats? @allthingsamanda

@hopefulundertone I get the impression it’s fairly easy up until the point classes actually start.

My son is a CS student in the college of engineering, but was mistakenly put in CLAS. He called the engineering school and switched literally the day before Convocation.

I have the impression from the UF family page (a couple of UF staffers are on there) that once classes start it is a little more involved.

Of course double check with UF on all this should the need arise!

Best wishes!

I’m furiously refreshing the decision page

@hopefulundertone It’s easy. Freshman are admitted to the University and not to the college/major. You can pick any major and UF makes it easy to switch majors, up until you have to commit (usually the start of your junior year).

Thank you @Gator88NE! Somebody asked that question on our family page and we had a somewhat ambiguous response (at least it seemed to me). But it was easy for my son right before classes started.

My son sure as heck did NOT want CLAS with a potential language requirement. !!!

Always best to check with UF or @Gator88NE.
