I think there is still a chance. UF Admissions said on twitter that scholarship decisions would be released by the end of the month. Good luck! @Floridaball
OOS here…no scholarship info but not hopeful there. We still haven’t gotten an email with Gatorlink info. Anyone else still waiting for this?
@fallschurchmom My D is OOS as well and we are also still waiting for the GatorLink email. Also still waiting on the snail mail packet. We have received an email about Florida Days, UF Preview, and UF housing.
Is the presidential scholarship just for oos acceptees or instate also? How do they qualify students for that scholarship. Anyone know?
It’s for instate too. It’s based on merit.
Thanks @MamaDeer. Sounds like we received the same info. Nice to have confirmation that you aren’t missing something!
Any idea how they define merit? Someone with a 29 ACT got presidential while someone else with a 31 did not. And I know the person with the 31 had a higher class ranking as well.
@kslinky Not sure what they look at. I know several people, including me, who scored 33+ and we didn’t get anything
@mdchang99 The not knowing the criteria can be frustrating. We also know someone with a 35 ACT that didn’t get it. I assume that they are still sending out emails. We aren’t expecting anything and are quite happy with the acceptance in a very tough year. Looking forward to preview. Go Gators!
@kslinky Yeah… I knew several great students in my graduating class that got rejected or PACE. UF looks to be trending toward exponentially lower selectivity like GaTech was a few years ago.
@hopefulundertone I heard the honors apps are reviewed by college students.
have all presidential scholarship emails gone out? I am instate and have yet to receive one
This is the honor’s class, that students have to take in the fall, before they can review honor applications in the spring.
To be honest, it looks like a lot of work goes into prepping…

THAT rubric would be valuable on the black market, lol.
Sushi panda , I’m heading into my first year of College with first semester completed between my AP’s and dual enrollment… Right now I’m in Calculas honors dual enrollment, A average… AP English, AP science… 3 AP classes my junior year along with a dual enrollment… Everything else honors…My GPA is a 4.75 , core is probably 4 3…
I will do summer courses and finish in 3 years and head off to Grad School and it won’t be UF , they had their chance… My Essay was awesome, I believe it helped with every school I was accepted I received scholarship money… I’m not upset that I didn’t get in, I’m baffled with some of the kids that did get in, at least 4 C’s ,maybe one club… one or two easy AP classes… no job, party time all weekend…PS 400 hours of volunteer, the list goes on for EC’s… Student ambassador etc…

I hope your essays didn’t have grammar equivalent to this (RIP). Just kidding by the way. You’re totally going to succeed at whatever college you choose to attend. Good Luck!
Lol, I’m doing this from my phone and the lighting isn’t so great… I just had a good laugh
@kit4kat LOL. So have you decided on a college yet?
I’m not sure if this will help anyone or not, but I’ll post it anyway. I received the in-state Presidential Scholarship with a 34 ACT, 4.0 UW GPA, 4.8036 UF GPA, 15 AP/AICE classes, and 10 dual enrollment classes. I am president of National Honor Society, captain of academic team, principal flute in band, and I have 800+ volunteer hours. Rank is in top 1% of class with weighted GPA and I am number 1 unweighted.
Not yet, still waiting to hear back from a few…
