UF Email Account

I was invited to the Honors college today. On the application, it says we need to set up our UF email in order to receive our decision.

I spoke to an honors representative and an admissions representative and I was still left with questions. The Honors rep told me I should have received an email saying “Congrats” and linking me to my email. The admissions rep (correctly, I believe) said UF does not send congratulations and that my email followed the format gatorlink@ufl.edu. When I try to set it up I receive an error message.

Can anybody help me out?

I’m about to apply to the honors program, and first thought I’d check my Gatorlink email, since I wanted to make sure that it was working before I applied. When I tried to log into it/set it up, it said that the mailbox/account did not exist. Maybe admissions just haven’t let the IT people know of new accounts?

My DS is having the same issues, he’s getting error messages.

Same problem here, and I couldn’t find any solution as of yet.

@AGoodFloridian‌ @etkatch‌ @valjeanbread‌ @FLAtoMICH‌ Did you try calling this number? 1-855-99GATOR. I don’t know where it goes to, but it was on the UF Online website, so they at least might be able to direct you to the correct person.

I spoke with an IT Person and they said the email accounts won’t be active until next week.

And he was right! Just got an email from UF confirming that they have created my email account on GatorCloud/Outlook.
