UF Internet Policy Key

<p>Out of the blue today, my internet stopped working and took me to a website with UF's Policy Key. I then had to download ServiceInstaller.exe</p>

<p>1) Why did it do this?
2) Did/does anyone else do/have to do this?</p>

<p>It's weird because I wasn't doing anything wrong.</p>

Windows and Mac-based computers that are connected to DHNet must download and install the SafeConnect Policy Key software. The Policy Key is a lightweight software application that connects to DHNet servers in order to verify that connected computers are in compliance with this AUP. If the Policy Key software detects that that the computer is not in compliance with DHNet security policies, the computer will be isolated from the network until the problem is resolved. The Policy Key software does not make any changes to pre-existing software or settings on a user’s computer. Failure to install the Policy Key software will result in a user being unable to access the DHNet network.
