How does reducing the student-faculty ratio impacts UF’s ranking?

The student-faculty ratio is only 5% of the Faculty resources metric, which itshelf only makes up 20% of the rankings. That comes out to only 1% of the ranking calculation.
However, hiring additional faculity also impact’s the class size metric (40% of the Faculty Resource metric), which impacts 8% of the ranking calculation.
It also impacts the Financial resources, as this would be an increase in the amount of funds being spent per student. That’s another 10% of U.S. News ranking that’s impacted.
Nice! I thought I heard President Fuchs emphasizing the need to improve the student-faculty ratio in one of his addresses to the Florida legislature (or somewhere).
