Hi everyone, I am being accepted by these schools. But I have a hard time choosing…
(Undergrad)
My criteria:
- Living cost (off campus)
- Future prospects
- Online learning availability (sometimes have to travel out of state)
- Transportation (I drive)
- Academic quality
- Diversity
- I work part-time
- Safe environment and campus
- Weather
I am still thinking about more factors…
I am a mediocre student who is able to maintain around 3.4 GPA and passionate about things that I can relate to my life experiences. I am not a science and math person. I am an Asian guy who is 29 yo. I am taking this major because I am not finding anything that I can connect with (at the moment). Please let me know about your thoughts! Thanks and best wishes to u all
Hands down UMass Amherst:
With Smith and Mount Holyoke in the 5 college exchange, you’d have a hard time beating UMass Amherst for your major. Add a minor in HR and you’ll be golden in the workplace.
Will you be a transfer student?
Thanks for your reply. Yes I am a transferring student. May I know what is the Smith and Mount Holyoke…?Thanks
Ok I got it, they are the rest of the schools in the 5 college …
Smith and Mount Holyoke are part of the original elite “Seven sisters”, ie., women’s colleges with special strength in women’s studies, gender studies, etc.
UMass Amherst for sure. The 5 college consortium is rich with resources, and you’ll find the campus and the surrounding community in Amherst and Northampton very congenial.
Great online resources and classes too.
I have not signed up for minor but I have an AA in Behavioral science…I dont know if that helps…
