Hi everyone! Well my college decision has come down between UGA and Alabama, and I have no clue what to pick, as each school has great aspects about them.

I plan on majoring in dietetics/food and nutrition (depending on the school) and going to graduate school as well for this.

Here's the breakdown for the schools:

UGA-My state flagship. It's only 45 minutes from my house (which i'm not too fond of), but in a great college town. If I attend there, it would be less than 10,000 a year with HOPE scholarship. I could join a sorority (If i want to-but i'm not about rushing) and live a more lavish lifestyle here. Academically, it's more competetive, and I will have to apply for my major. Lots of kids from my HS are attending next year which isn't ideal. However, it is a very strong SEC school (average admitted stats this year were 3.87 GPA, 6 AP, and 1910 SAT) and could set me up well for graduate. Oh, and the dorms here are really bad.

This biggest thing holding me back here is that I don't love it. I think it's fine, but I'm never that excited when on campus, and it doesn't have that exact vibe or charm I wanted.

Alabama-4 hours from home, in a decent college town. Unfortunately, it would be about 30,000 a year for me. I would most likely need to do a work study/RA/work in the summer to help pay for it, and might take on some debt. Here, I would live much more frugally. I am in their Honors program which is a huge draw for me. Their campus and dorms are stunning, and everyone I've encountered there is beyond friendly. It has that feel that I want, and I had my "moment" there both times I visited. In other words, I LOVE this place.

Only thing holding me back here is the cost :/

So, my big question is the money difference worth it to attend a school you absolutely love? I am beyond torn right now.
