UIUC for Psychology? What are some other schools with strong undergrad psychology programs?

I've decided I want to major in psychology, and as a rising senior I'm going to be applying to colleges this upcoming year. I have a few picked out (UW Madison, University of Michigan, WashU), but I want to make sure that the school I go to will provide plenty of research and internship opportunities for undergraduates, possibly even starting freshman year if that's a thing, as well as a good track record of getting jobs for graduating students. I might go on to med school to become a psychiatrist, but I'm not really sure yet. I live in Illinois, and lately I've heard lots of good things about UIUC's psychology program, and now I'm wondering if that'd be a good option.

So I was wondering what schools with strong psychology programs would be matches for me, and then what would be some good safeties and reaches to look at as well.

Basic stats:
3.7 UWGPA
4.35 WGPA
Freshman year was my strongest with all As, sophomore and junior year had some more Bs than I'd like

President/Board member of a 2 service clubs, member of FNHS, part time job in addition to school

Most of my courses have been honors level so far, and senior year I'm taking all AP courses. I took AB calculus (5) and APUSH (4) this year.

I my calculus teacher will be writing me a rec, and I can get another one from a science teacher if needed. My counselor would also be able to write me one.

Essays should be decent.

No major hooks.

I'm sorry if I'm forgetting anything, but it's really late here and I probably should be sleeping. Please let me know if there's anything I forgot to add and I'll just edit it in. I really appreciate any and all suggestions - the more the merrier. Thanks!

Here’s one ranking of u/g programs, but you can pretty much go anywhere you can afford:

http://education-portal.com/best_undergraduate_psychology_programs.html

Where you do psych is not all that important to employers or grad or professional schools. That you get some research experience is.

have you run the net price calculator to determine what UIUC will cost your family? any other schools? Have you a commitment from your parents, a firm number, that they will pay for four years? Until you get this info, none of this other stuff matters a lick because you cannot go anywhere you cannot afford.

UIUC, UM and UW all have top Psy programs. Based on what I have heard UW has the most UG oriented program with many top rated teaching faculty. All have strong research programs.

Most schools have good psychology programs. They may be particularly strong in a certain area of psychology, for example, U of Minn is known for the twin studies. Compare the costs of schools of interest. Graduate or medical school is essential for a good career prospect if you major in psychology.

Check out Clark University. Strong in psychology and guarantees you research experience as part of their “contract”. Apply early if you want to compete for the LEAP scholarship.
