I've decided I want to major in psychology, and as a rising senior I'm going to be applying to colleges this upcoming year. I have a few picked out (UW Madison, University of Michigan, WashU), but I want to make sure that the school I go to will provide plenty of research and internship opportunities for undergraduates, possibly even starting freshman year if that's a thing, as well as a good track record of getting jobs for graduating students. I might go on to med school to become a psychiatrist, but I'm not really sure yet. I live in Illinois, and lately I've heard lots of good things about UIUC's psychology program, and now I'm wondering if that'd be a good option.

So I was wondering what schools with strong psychology programs would be matches for me, and then what would be some good safeties and reaches to look at as well.

Basic stats:
3.7 UWGPA
4.35 WGPA
Freshman year was my strongest with all As, sophomore and junior year had some more Bs than I'd like

President/Board member of a 2 service clubs, member of FNHS, part time job in addition to school

Most of my courses have been honors level so far, and senior year I'm taking all AP courses. I took AB calculus (5) and APUSH (4) this year.

I my calculus teacher will be writing me a rec, and I can get another one from a science teacher if needed. My counselor would also be able to write me one.

Essays should be decent.

No major hooks.

I'm sorry if I'm forgetting anything, but it's really late here and I probably should be sleeping. Please let me know if there's anything I forgot to add and I'll just edit it in. I really appreciate any and all suggestions - the more the merrier. Thanks!
