Hey guys,
I am an electrical engineering major living in California, and I was accepted into UIUC, UMichigan, and UCSD, and I was waitlisted UCLA (7.5% admit rate this year). I was thinking that UIUC would be a better choice than UMichigan b/c of better engineering rankings and lower costs (UIUC is 28k and UMich is 37k for out of state). Should I go for UIUC or should I go for in-state universities like UCSD and UCLA? UCSD and UCLA are not ranked very high in EE, but they have a better overall reputation and a lower cost, considering that I am in state. I am looking to go to a top engineering school like Stanford or UCBerkeley for grad school, so which school do you think will help me achieve that better? If I get an acceptance into UCLA off the waitlist, do you think I should go? Which one of those four listed above do you think I should go to?

UCLA admit rate is not 7.5%

Go to UCSD/UCLA, no question

Undergrad university does not matter for grad school
