UK student to study in the US

Scottish student here who would like to study in USA. I feel coming here will help me understand the application process better than a British forum.

My plan is to study accounting and economics at ,hopefully, some high end business colleges. I'm not entirely sure how my grades transfer over but maybe someone out there could help. In my higher's I achieved AAAAB, in math, physics, accounting, computing and english, then went on to sit two advanced higher's, accounting and math, in my final year achieving an A and B. I was the head boy in my school, captain of the basketball team and running team, and also represented our school in the Scottish annual math competition, gaining first place. I am also a part-time lifeguard at a local swimming pool.

If anyone could tell me what options I have, if any, it would greatly appreciated.

You’ll need to take the SAT. Your scores will give you a ballpark figure of the schools at which you’ll be a competitive applicant. There is also a special forum here for business majors where you may get more responses to your questions re economics and accounting.

The SAT is offered in October, November, December, January, May, and June. The College Board, which administers and scores the SAT, has instructions for international applicants about locating a test center in your home country:
