<p>I don’t believe you can apply later on. You might try calling admissions and stating your case as to why you think you should be in honors if you really want to be. In my opinion, honors in college is kind of pointless. You’re at a top university, get good grades and you’re going to have no trouble getting a job or into grad school whether you’re honors or not.</p>
<p>But, doesn’t being in the honors program give you access to sign up for classes a bit earlier, so you may get into some of the more popular courses?
