Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but.
Uh hi. I'm new.

I joined because I plan on going to college in a about a year and I need some advice.....getting all that together.

Why is there no introduction thread? I think there should be one. :p

You’re definitely new. This forum isn’t really centered around a core of members who get to know one another, as it’s more geared towards answering questions students and parents might have about college applications and everything that comes after, so an introduction thread isn’t that necessary. Within some of the subforums where people just chat more, though, like High School Life and Parent Cafe, people do get to know one another a bit. It is good to have you here, though!

Are there any particular questions you have about the college application process? I can try to direct you to subforums where you’ll get the best responses. :)

Thanks TitoMorito! :)

Well I’m not applying for college just yet, but I’d like pretty much any help/advice on college and admissions in general since I’m still focusing on highschool. So yeah, directs to subforums is appreciated. :D

You’ll probably want to focus on the College Search and Selection, College Admissions (and Common App), and College Life subforums; the Financial Aid subforum might also be worth a look, and the Parents subforum is full of great advice and insight. Avoid the What Are My Chances subforum, as it’s a lot of guesswork and very little actual advice. High School Life can be fun, but there’s a lot of pointless threads and a lot of guesswork like in WAMC. If you have an idea of which college you’d like to attend or what you’d like to major in, you can check out the relevant forums as well.

You might want to start out by reading about and searching for what you’d like to know (you may want to adjust your archive settings so you can see all past threads), and seeing who gives good advice and who …doesn’t. I find I trust some members’ advice more than others’, and you’ll likely find the same.

I hope you enjoy it here, Wiiboy4ever (not a fan of the Wii-U? :p), and good luck!
